Job Title: Family Lawyer

We are seeking a skilled Family Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3+ years of current experience in British Columbia family law practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently manage family law files, handling a wide range of matters, including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division.
  • Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials, instructing support staff and receiving instructions from clients.
  • Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications, negotiating at mediations and appearing at trials.
  • Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end, with experience in general civil litigation being an asset.
Requirements
  • Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills, with a desire to become part of the community served.
  • Enthusiasm for growing practice and working towards partnership.
  • Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently.
Compensation
  • Base salary: $100,000 – $200,000, depending on the year of call.
