Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, maintain employee benefits records, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in Tally ERP, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Area of Specialization: Accounting.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation or public transportation available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and time management.
