About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at Big Fresh. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, as well as operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery and Pick-up: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, accepting payment or invoices for items delivered and receiving and relaying information to central dispatch.
  • Record Keeping: Keep a record of items received and delivered, as well as record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods, using maps and other trip planning aids to ensure efficient delivery routes.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Possess a valid driver's licence and a clean driving record.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn the role, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees, developing and maintaining relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.
