Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled AZ Float Driver to join our team at Tomlinson Group of Companies. As an AZ Float Driver, you will be responsible for operating a Float Truck in a safe and efficient manner, transporting equipment and cargo to various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive Tractor Trailer combinations to transport equipment and cargo
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and cargo security
  • Ensure cargo is properly secured and follow safety procedures for transporting goods
  • Record cargo information, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Administer bills of lading and maintain electronic log books
  • Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers using communication devices and on-board computers
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs as needed

Requirements:

  • Valid AZ Driver's License
  • 3 years' driving experience
  • Ability to drive different types of equipment
  • Good knowledge of permits, load security, and dimension of loads
  • Good with paperwork
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when required
