Relief Pharmacist Job Description

At Save-On-Foods, we're committed to delivering exceptional customer service and providing a positive experience for our patients. As a Relief Pharmacist, you'll play a vital role in supporting our stores in Victoria, BC, and contributing to the success of our pharmacy team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, including dispensing, maximizing clinical opportunities, and administering vaccinations.
  • Maintain inventory within the pharmacy and ensure compliance with Provincial and Federal regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay current on the latest trends in the pharmacy industry by keeping up with new medications and clinical opportunities.
  • Offer private consultations to our patients while maintaining a patient-centered care culture.
  • Provide clinical services, including medication management and health screening.
Requirements:
  • Canadian Pharmacist license and good standing with the respective College of Pharmacists.
  • Injection certification.
  • Proficiency with Pharmacy Software solutions, preferably Kroll.
  • Experience with Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) and completed mandatory training when required.
  • Ability to assess, plan, and apply clinical knowledge when required.
  • Additional training or certifications (considered an asset).
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout the region for 1-2 weeks at a time.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
