Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our workforce planning team, you will be responsible for managing unionized staff unit rotations and ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained across all departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily staff scheduling and long-term planning to meet business needs
  • Collaborate with Human Resource Manager to ensure accurate staffing levels and efficient scheduling
  • Develop and implement scheduling strategies to optimize workforce utilization
  • Provide exceptional customer service to staff and management
  • Stay up-to-date with changing business needs and adapt scheduling strategies accordingly
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Successful completion of an administrative program
  • One year of previous scheduling experience (healthcare experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Excel
  • Training in Employee Scheduling Program (ESP) or similar scheduling systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions

This is an office-based position requiring prolonged periods of sitting and computer work. May encounter aggressive or agitated individuals.

Security Clearance

A current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check are required for this position.
