Job Overview

We're passionate about helping local pets in need and delivering exceptional customer service at Pet Valu.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform cash-related functions, sales processing, and end-of-day closing activities.
  2. Prepare merchandise orders, prepare banking deposits, and other miscellaneous paperwork.
  3. Place small items into stock in the sales area of the store.
  4. Ensure safety standards are maintained on the sales floor.
  5. Replenish shelves after receiving deliveries of pet food and supplies.
  6. Other duties and tasks as required.

Requirements

  1. Previous retail or guest service experience is desirable.
  2. Ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service.
  3. Flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and closing.
  4. Previous experience with retail point-of-sale (POS) software is desirable.
  5. Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI) results for your store.
  6. Possess an outgoing and friendly personality with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  7. Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively without assistance.
  8. Access to reliable transportation to and from the store.
