We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Innisfail, Alberta. As a Rural Healthcare Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care in a unique and challenging environment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have experience in Acute Care, Emergency Department or a combination of both, with a strong focus on delivering safe and effective patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced rural healthcare environment
  • Work collaboratively as part of an interprofessional healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care
  • Utilize critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to make sound clinical judgments
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program
  • Active registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Acute Care or Emergency Department or a combination of both

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lead 2 cardiac lead interpretation course
  • IV Direct Administration course
  • CAM B cardiac rhythm interpretation course
  • Experience with Central Venous Access Devices (CVAD)

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $64,000 - $89,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
