Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Kim Express. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food quality meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting the required standards.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare Reports and Budgets: Prepare and submit reports on food service operations, and prepare budget and cost estimates for food and supplies.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and take steps to resolve issues promptly.
  • Supervise and Check Assembly of Trays: Supervise and check the assembly of trays to ensure that they are prepared to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a food service supervisory role, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Wet/damp, hot.
  • Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, and physically demanding work.
