About the Role

Punia Drywall Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Specialist to join our team. As a Drywall Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various residential settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a high-quality finish.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet project requirements.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, ensuring a stable and secure installation.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry, maintaining a high-quality finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, adhering to safety protocols.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Specialist, you will work in a variety of residential settings, including homes and apartments. You will be exposed to dust, noise, and heights, and will be required to work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work at heights, in cold or refrigerated environments, and in dusty or hot conditions.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
