About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Database Architect to design and implement complex customer projects that align with our business objectives and technical feasibility. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for conducting architectural tradeoff analysis and providing recommendations to optimize system design and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and create architecture design for complex customer projects
  • Conduct architectural tradeoff analysis and provide recommendations to optimize system design and performance
  • Represent the company with new prospects on providing advice and guidance on implementation for projects
  • Maintain the highest-level expertise in the chosen technical disciplines
  • Perform education and mentoring sessions with customers on chosen technical disciplines
  • Support the identification, definition, sizing, and prioritization of product feature initiatives, ensuring they meet technical and business requirements
  • Assist the team in debugging cross-system issues, executing proof of concepts, and clarifying technical implementation details to enhance solution clarity and functionality
Requirements
  • 10+ years of delivering software
  • Significant experience in implementing complex customer projects
  • Experience of work with Planning, Project Management, Presentation, AI development tools and SDLC tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Makes data driven decisions
  • Experience in Agile software development
  • Data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, storage, versioning, modeling, analytics and visualization
  • AWS data technologies, Apache Spark, Snowflake, Databricks
  • Expertise in working with databases like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Cassandra, PostgreSQL and NoSQL
  • Python/Py Torch, Serverless, NodeJS and JavaScript

This is a remote hybrid position requiring residency in the Calgary or Toronto local surrounding area, to occasionally work in office with your team.
