About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Daycare Aide to join our team at Golden Apple Childcare and Out of School Daycare. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate records and providing support for educational programs.
  • Supervision and Coordination: Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of our childcare programs.
  • Activity Planning: Plan and organize engaging activities for school-age children in our before- and after-school programs, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Support Services: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for children, including those with disabilities, newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with ordering supplies and equipment, and participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
