Job Summary

Rodan Energy Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the design, development, and operations of a nuclear generation facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and developing engineered solutions, evaluating and verifying components and materials, and coordinating project staff efforts to meet project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, input, and recommendations for applicable managed system items affecting the organization.
  • Review and identify items within the managed system that are not applicable to the organization and can be exempted from.
  • Provide technical evaluations and advice, solve problems, and coordinate technical work as required in support of commissioning, operation, and maintenance of facilities.
  • Assess, evaluate, and recommend initial disposition of problems as requiring further review and investigations or abandonment as the best alternative.
  • Prepare submissions including cost justification or financial evaluation as appropriate and recommend adoption of proposals and steps required to incorporate them.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge of physics, engineering, mathematics, and chemistry as related to design requirements, stress, materials, and total system performance for proposed major facilities and components.
  • Requires a knowledge of construction/installation methods as related to major installations.
  • Requires a knowledge of business processes to provide cost estimates and trends concerning generating station design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Requires a knowledge of English, both oral and in written form.
  • Experience developing department/division procedures and planning and strategy for large-scale projects.
  • Experience on projects within the nuclear industry or on decommissioning projects is an asset.

Education and Experience

  • Requires a four-year university education in engineering or equivalent level of education.
  • Requires experience in the design, development, and operations of a nuclear generation facility to plan and develop engineered solutions and to evaluate/verify components and materials.
  • Requires experience to become familiar with plant systems/processes involved in the design, construction, installation, and commissioning associated with an industrial environment.
