About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Saskatchewan Corp. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to food preparation, cleaning, and maintenance of the kitchen area. This includes operating dishwashers, washing and sanitizing equipment and surfaces, receiving and storing supplies, and removing trash and garbage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate dishwashers and wash dishes, glassware, and flatware;
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, surfaces, and storage areas;
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas;
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash;
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors;
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit;
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation as needed;
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent;
  • Previous experience in a kitchen setting or a related field;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • A strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures;
  • A willingness to learn and take direction;
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires working 40 hours per week. You will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods. A valid WorkSafeBC certification would be an asset.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as access to paid time off and professional development opportunities.
