Job Title: Construction Laborer

Lawnsmart & Snow Removal Ltd. is seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Construction Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Measure Weight and Prepare for Rigging and Hoisting: Measure the weight of materials to prepare for rigging and hoisting, ensuring accurate and safe lifting procedures.
  • Perform Pre-Operational Inspection: Conduct pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Read Blueprints and Determine Work Requirements: Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accurate execution of tasks.
  • Erect and Dismantle Concrete Forms, Scaffolding, Ramps, Catwalks, Shoring, and Barricades: Safely erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt according to specifications.
  • Assist in Framing Houses, Erecting Walls, and Building Roofs: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs as part of the construction team.
  • Pave and Rake Asphalt: Pave and rake asphalt to ensure a smooth and even surface.
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or disposal.
  • Remove Rubble and Debris: Remove rubble and debris from construction sites, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Physically Demanding: This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Handling Heavy Loads: You will be required to handle heavy loads and equipment, ensuring safe lifting and moving procedures.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail to ensure accurate execution of tasks and high-quality work.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination: Develop hand-eye coordination to perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
