Pediatric Respirology Specialist - Sleep Medicine Focus**Division Overview**
The Division of Respiratory Medicine at BCCH is the only centre providing pediatric respiratory services for the Province of British Columbia's roughly 1 million children. We offer a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, including general respiratory medicine, cystic fibrosis, severe asthma, sleep medicine, home ventilation, children's interstitial lung disease, and primary ciliary dyskinesia/non-CF bronchiectasis.
We have a state-of-the-art sleep lab with recent upgrades and expansions, offering opportunities for growth and development in this area.
**Job Description**
We are seeking a full-time Pediatric Respirologist to join our team, with a focus on sleep medicine. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care, conduct research, and participate in educational activities.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, demonstrated ability to work effectively with families, and a proven track record of research and teaching. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are essential.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
- M.D. (or equivalent) degree
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) certification in pediatric respiratory medicine
- Eligibility for specialist licensure in British Columbia
- Additional certification and/or fellowship training in sleep medicine an asset
