Our prestigious client, a prominent family office based in the Montreal region, is seeking an accomplished Finance Director to support their growth in a dynamic and exciting environment.

Role Overview

This newly created role offers the opportunity to work closely with high-net-worth individuals and manage a wide range of financial responsibilities. A hybrid work schedule is required, with 2-3 days per week on-site in Laval. This is a unique chance to lead a diverse set of financial activities while making a significant impact on a sophisticated family office.

Main Responsibilities
  • Financial Systems Development: Lead the development and implementation of financial systems and processes to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.
  • Risk Management: Implement and manage robust internal control systems to safeguard financial assets and mitigate risks.
  • Strategic Oversight: Provide strategic financial oversight, including financial planning, cash flow forecasting, and scenario analysis, aligning with the long-term goals of the family office and its members.
  • Financial Risk Management Strategies: Develop and oversee financial risk management strategies, addressing potential financial, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Tax Compliance: Support the year-end tax filings for corporate and individual entities, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial tax laws, and providing insight into tax-efficient strategies.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with strong experience in financial reporting, process improvement, and risk management.
  • Experience supporting a family office or similar high-net-worth entity.
  • Proficiency in French is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • A passion for managing complex financial operations and creating efficient, scalable solutions within a family office environment.
