About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Logistics Excellence Professional to join our team in Montreal. As a key member of our Project Logistics department, you will play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day operations for industrial customers.

Responsibilities
  • Arrange bookings with carriers, internal service providers, and agents across various transportation modes.
  • Develop and implement work processes with overseas counterparts as required.
  • Prepare necessary documentation to meet project and shipment requirements.
  • Monitor and update daily shipment status for clients.
  • Update transport management tracking systems as needed.
  • Assist with invoicing and job costing where applicable.
  • Evaluate project execution to ensure client satisfaction, within budget, on schedule, and in line with contractual requirements.
  • Support the project team to deliver projects on time, within budget, and meeting Kuehne+Nagel's high standards for Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (QSHE).
  • Process supplier invoices and prepare customer invoices.
  • Ensure timely file closure for monthly financial ledger closing.
  • Verify project execution aligns with company policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
  • Provide assistance with RFIs/RFQs for assigned customers.
  • Create individual quotations for budgetary and firm requests from assigned customers.
  • Generate reports for management and customers (quote register and system dashboards).
  • Select and qualify vendors by adhering to QHSE vendor requirements and processes.
  • Investigate lost or misdirected shipments and process potential damage claims.
  • Promote and sell transport insurance to customers when necessary.
  • Act as a super user for Kuehne+Nagel transport management systems and train new staff.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, preferably in freight forwarding or project logistics.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel (maintaining complex spreadsheets), and PowerPoint.
