Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our production team at BWX Technologies. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for building, inspecting, repairing, replacing, installing, adjusting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance on all plant equipment in support of manufacturing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on plant equipment, including reading mechanical and electrical blueprints, drawings, diagrams, instructions, etc.
- Complete records and documentation as required, including interfacing with suppliers and outside support personnel.
- Work in a safe manner, demonstrating good workmanship and practices, and adhering to plant safety policies and procedures.
- Stand, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs, including above and below shoulder level.
- Operate power and hand tools, and related safety equipment.
- Available to work all shifts, including weekday days, weekday afternoons, weekend days, and weekend afternoons.
Requirements:
- Certificate of Qualification in Industrial Mechanic and Industrial Electrician.
- Level One (Gas Technician GT-1) is preferred, but not required.
- Proven commitment to workplace safety.
- Knowledge of plant safety policies and procedures.
- Basic Computer Skills - MS Office components and Adobe Acrobat.
- Fundamental understanding of Preventative Maintenance Programs [CMMS].
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot various types of industrial equipment from basic to complex.
- Ability to read equipment blueprints/schematics.
- Ability to safely operate power and hand tools and all related safety equipment.
