The role involves developing, designing, and managing municipal and land development projects. You will collaborate with internal colleagues in other engineering disciplines, leading project meetings and communicating necessary information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design, and manage municipal and land development projects
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues in other engineering disciplines
  • Work directly with clients onsite, maintain regular communication with regulatory and approving authorities
  • Create and review project deliverables (drawings, reports) for accuracy
  • Prepare project proposals and submissions
  • Stay up-to-date with current industry expectations, codes, standards, and customer needs
  • Assist with business development, new opportunities, and client relationships
  • Mentor and monitor junior staff (Junior Engineers and Technologists)

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in civil engineering and projects
  • P.Eng designation in Alberta through APEGA is mandatory
  • Bachelor and/or postsecondary studies in civil engineering
  • Ability to communicate with various stakeholders (colleagues, field staff, clients, approving municipalities)
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, organized, and methodical approach to tasks
  • Self-motivated to continuously improve, ability to plan strategically, and work independently
  • Creative problem-solver, welcome unorthodox approaches to resolving issues
  • AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microsoft Office Suite
