About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Vancity Concrete LTD. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Placement of Concrete: Directly place concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade specifications.
  • Filling and Smoothing: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Compaction and Leveling: Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and level the top surface according to grade and depth specifications.
  • Finishing and Repairing: Impart desired finishes to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, and repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Material Application: Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces, and waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Site Environment: Ability to work at heights, in noisy environments, outdoors, and in wet/damp conditions.
  • Work Setting: Experience working in commercial, residential, and various locations.
  • Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding work requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Tools and Equipment: Safety equipment, steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and gloves.
