About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Stores. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on complex problems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of innovative software solutions. You will be expected to lead by example, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical excellence throughout the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable software solutions that meet the needs of our customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements
  • Lead by example, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical excellence throughout the team
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software code, following industry best practices and Amazon's coding standards
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure that code meets the required standards
Requirements
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
