Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Assistant to join our team at Christine Monge. This is a permanent position offering 75 hours of bi-weekly work, with room and board provided in the employer's home.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Administer medications as prescribed by medical professionals.
  2. Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  3. Provide companionship and engage clients in activities such as exercise, reading, or hobbies.
  4. Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
  5. Cook and clean up after meals, maintaining a tidy and organized kitchen space.
  6. Launder clothing and household linens, ensuring cleanliness and freshness.
  7. Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and organizing living areas.
  8. Assist with tasks such as walking, swimming, or other exercises tailored to the client's needs and abilities.
  9. Change non-sterile dressings as required, following proper infection control procedures.
  10. Feed or assist with feeding, ensuring the client's nutritional needs are met.

Requirements:

  • Females and males aged 18+, with a high school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Newborns (including expecting mothers), infants (3-11 months), kindergarten age children (4-5 years), school-age children (6-12 years), toddlers to pre-school age (1-3 years), and individuals with disabilities or mental health conditions.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
