About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Business Analysis Specialist to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improvement through effective analysis and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion a Customer-Focused Culture: Deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge to drive business success.
  • Lead Business Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of problems and end-to-end scenarios to ensure solutions deliver desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with teams to deliver high-quality products and services that meet business needs.
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analysis: Identify and address defects and areas for improvement to drive continuous quality enhancement.
  • Develop and Implement Solutions: Collaborate with development teams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Ensure Quality and Compliance: Embed quality in every phase of the software development lifecycle and ensure adherence to established guidelines and regulations.
  • Participate in Product Design and Requirements Analysis: Work with teams to design and develop products that meet business needs and customer requirements.
  • Conduct Exploratory Testing: Identify and report defects and areas for improvement to drive quality enhancement.
  • Embed with Development Teams: Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality and compliance in every phase of the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in Continuous Learning and Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to drive business growth and improvement.
Requirements
  • 5-8 Years of Experience: Proven experience as a Business Analyst and/or QA role.
  • Excellent Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to capture, articulate, and present analysis and status updates effectively to both teams and senior management.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall Projects: Proven experience working on agile and waterfall projects in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Jira, Sharepoint, and other commonly used tools, as well as data analysis skills using Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Self-Motivated and Driven: Ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations with ease, multi-task, and work on multiple initiatives at the same time.
