We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Supported Living Service Worker to join our team at Linck Child, Youth & Family Supports. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to children and youth in our care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Care and Supervision: Work collaboratively with other staff members to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and youth, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
- Develop and Implement Care Plans: Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs and goals of each child or youth.
- Provide Guidance and Support: Offer guidance and support to children and youth in areas such as daily living skills, education, and personal development.
- Communicate Effectively: Maintain open and effective communication with children, youth, and colleagues to ensure seamless care and support.
- Participate in Team Meetings: Regularly participate in team meetings to discuss care plans, share knowledge, and address any concerns or issues.
- Education: Successful completion of a two or more year diploma course from a community college working with children and youth (preference will be given to Child and Youth Worker diploma).
- Experience: Up to three (3) months related experience.
- Certifications: Current First Aid, CPR, and CPI certificate.
- Skills: Computer and keyboarding skills, extensive use of word-processing programs.
- Personal Qualities: Tact and discretion to deal with or settle requests, interpreting or clarification of information with residents; ability to communicate in French is an asset.
