Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Service Management Specialist to join our team at Emtec. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and large-scale government client projects in Ottawa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement applications to support projects, departments, organizations, or corporate services;
  • Translate business requirements into systems design and technical specifications;
  • Analyze and recommend alternatives and options for technical solutions;
  • Analyze business requirements, perform feasibility studies, provide costing estimates for options analysis, data mapping, and produce the required functional and technical specifications or process re-engineering recommendations;
  • Provide system expertise to both functional and technical teams to ensure effective integration of solutions across the application(s); and
  • Provide application support to end-users by troubleshooting and correcting issues, providing training, and reporting to management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Systems Analyst implementing BMC-ITSM projects OR 5+ years ITSM project implementation experience and the willingness/ability to complete BMC training to certify in 6 weeks;
  • Previous experience working on government projects;
  • Experience with BMC Digital Workplace and/or BMC Atrium Orchestrator;
  • ITIL certification;
  • BMC certifications;
  • Government of Canada security clearance in process or completed;
  • Solid written, verbal, and presentation communication skills;
  • Strong team and individual player;
  • Maintains composure during all types of situations and is collaborative by nature;
  • High standards of professionalism, consistently producing high-quality results;
  • Self-sufficient, independent requiring very little supervision or intervention;
  • Demonstrate flexibility and openness to bring creative solutions to address issues.

Workplace

Hybrid model. Currently work is remote. Moving forward there may be onsite in Ottawa with the ability to work remotely from home and travelling occasionally when required.
