Job Title: Truck and Transport Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Mechanic to join our team at Rossignol Transport Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial transport trucks, including diesel engines, truck-trailer systems, and automotive systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust units to specifications
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • or equivalent experience
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Diesel engine repair and maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of commercial transport truck systems and automotive systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
