Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care Network at Island Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive primary care to a panel of patients, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients, including diagnosing diseases, disorders, and conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including health care management, therapeutic interventions, and prescribing medications in accordance with statutory and regulatory standards.
- Provide professional guidance to students and other healthcare professionals, practicing autonomously and interdependently within the context of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and communities to identify and assess trends and patterns that have implications for health services and practices.
- Develop and implement population-based strategies to improve health and participate in policy-making and quality activities that influence healthcare services and practices.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Experience working in a primary care setting, preferably within a Primary Care Network.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and interdependently within an interdisciplinary team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
