About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at RONA Inc. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in sales and merchandising to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for our product portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive category growth, improve profitability, and enhance customer experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Develop and implement merchandising plans to optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotions.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, making adjustments as needed to achieve business objectives.
  • Participate in new product launches, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of dealer tools and resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or retail management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability.
  • Excellent business acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
