Merchandise Operations Manager

At Talize, we're passionate about making fashion sustainable, unique, and affordable. As a Merchandise Processing Manager, you'll play a crucial role in helping us achieve this goal.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and optimize the entire retail floor to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience.
- Manage and motivate a team of associates, delegate tasks, and set performance expectations.
- Implement sales strategies to achieve targets and drive sales.
- Coordinate staff schedules and address customer concerns.
- Ensure accurate handling of all register transactions, including exchanges, refunds, cancellations, and tax exemptions.
- Plan, create, and execute weekly schedules for the retail department.
- Responsible for the handling, reconciliation, and security of all store funds.
- Direct the retail floor team in the preparation and execution of sales days.
- Train Retail Floor Supervisors and Retail Floor Team Members on point of sale operations, customer service, merchandising, loss prevention, and company policies.
- Provide direction to Retail Floor Team regarding company policies and procedures.
- Recognize and report policy infractions to the General Manager and Human Resources.
- 4+ years of experience working in retail.
- Previous work in a thrift retail environment is considered an asset.
- Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid Driver's License and Abstract preferred.
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shift. Lifting and carrying items up to 50lbs without assistance throughout shift. Exposure to dust, periodic temperature fluctuations, and noise levels.
