Giesecke & Devrient GB Ltd. is a leading provider of secure payment solutions, and we are seeking a Quality Assurance Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day quality lab activities, including testing, inspections, and internal audits.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of quality management principles and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The following are some key responsibilities of the job:

  • Perform various tests on all cards and card components, including incoming inspection, dual interface final, special test request, and card body testing final
  • Update test reports and test logs to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Deliver notification of testing results via shared drives or email
  • Use SAP to retrieve necessary information for test documents
  • Continuously assess the results of inspection findings and communicate any issues or problems to the appropriate department supervisor or lead hand

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be required to:

  • Comply with company policies and procedures related to environmental, health, and safety
  • Initiate non-conformance reports for product non-conformances or discrepancies
  • Perform calibration on test equipment as required and update necessary calibration logs
  • Ensure the lab is kept clean and organized
