Fowler Construction Company Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Construction to lead our construction division. As a key member of our Senior Leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, organizing, and employee requirements for all of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Manage the entire construction department team, including staffing, training, mentoring, employee retention, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Project Oversight: Regularly visit construction sites to support Project Managers and Superintendents, providing feedback and monitoring production and efficiency.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise to the construction team and work closely with the Director of Business Development and Estimating to ensure successful working relationships between construction and estimating teams.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and prepare business unit statements, job cost reviews, and ensure prompt billing and follow-up.
  • Qualifications: Professional Civil Engineer or Civil Technology Certificate, 10+ years of progressive management experience, strong construction business acumen, and excellent engineering and practical construction capabilities.
Work Environment:

Fowler Construction Company Limited is based in Bracebridge, Ontario, and requires travel to various sites. The ideal candidate will be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments and adapt to frequent change, delays, and unexpected events.
