ESG Analyst Job Description

About the Role:

CAPREIT is seeking an ESG Analyst to join our team, responsible for making significant contributions to our growing commitment to ESG and related reporting. This role will report to the Senior Manager, ESG, working closely with department peers responsible for sustainability and social impact programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and capture ESG data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in drafting content for CAPREIT's annual ESG report, adhering to GRI, SASB, and TCFD standards.
  • Support the development of sustainability/ESG content and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and best practices in ESG reporting.
  • Support the integration of ESG into CAPREIT's Enterprise Risk Management framework.
  • Contribute to process improvements related to ESG data capture, reporting, and controls.

Requirements:

  • University degree in sustainability, environmental science/management, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the ESG space, with a focus on reporting and GRESB submissions.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance, social, and environmental issues, with a preference for climate change expertise.
