Civil Engineering Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technologist - Design and Development Specialist to join our team at Dillon Consulting.
About the RoleIn this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from transportation structures to construction management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collaborating with engineers, planners, and other stakeholders to develop detailed design contract packages.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop detailed design contract packages;
- Assist project managers and engineers in functional and detailed design of transportation structures;
- Complete detailed design drafting for various project types;
- Apply 2D and 3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD, to produce design drawings;
- Prepare construction drawings/documents;
- Assist with contract administration tasks, including construction observation, shop drawing review, and progress payment preparation;
- Coordinate and complete site assessments, construction observation, and construction management of site documentation;
- Business travel may be required to other Dillon offices.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in civil engineering technology, with a diploma from an accredited Architectural or Engineering Technologist Program. Additionally, you should have 2-5 years of experience in the engineering consulting industry, with proficiency in current AutoCAD, Revit, and/or BrIM software.
