Assistant Professor Position

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our faculty as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Organizational Behaviour/Human Resource Management (OB/HRM) area. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of our undergraduate and graduate programs, engage in research and scholarly activities, and participate in service to the university and the broader academic community.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in OB/HRM, including courses in organizational behaviour, human resource management, and related areas.
- Conduct research and publish in top-tier journals in the field of OB/HRM.
- Develop and maintain a highly productive research agenda, including securing external funding and collaborating with colleagues.
- Communicate the relevance of their research to academic and business audiences through various channels, including presentations, publications, and media outreach.
- Effectively teach courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, including courses in OB/HRM and related areas.
- Mentor MSc/PhD students and support their academic and professional development.
- Participate in service to the university and the broader academic community, including departmental and university-wide committees, and community outreach initiatives.
- PhD (or completion of a PhD within one year of employment start date) with an emphasis in Organizational Behaviour, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated exceptional research potential, including demonstrated ability to publish in top-tier journals in the field and to maintain a highly productive research agenda.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate the relevance of their research to academic and business audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively teach courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
- Interest in mentoring MSc/PhD students and supporting their academic and professional development.
- Willingness and capacity to take on service responsibilities as may be required.
- Strong commitment to collegiality, and ability and willingness to work collaboratively within the department and the broader academic community.
