Job Title: Senior Manager, Assurance & Accounting

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Assurance & Accounting team. As a trusted advisor, you will provide comprehensive financial information to clients, enabling them to make informed decisions with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead client-facing engagement teams on complex compliance tax engagements, budgeting, internal controls, and financial/accounting transactions.
  • Deliver expert industry and technical expertise through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations, and high-quality deliverables.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, understanding their business, key risks, and ways to deliver added value; ensure clients' needs are met, and relationships and accounts grow and develop.
  • Accountable for engagement planning and scheduling, project financials (budgets, WIPS, timely billing, collection, variance recognition), and maintaining quality control.
  • Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities, and contribute to competitive proposal preparation and delivery.
  • Contribute to strategic and operational planning related to client and practice management, as well as developing new ideas and approaches to improve work processes.
  • Mentor, motivate, and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • 7 years of relevant public accounting experience.
  • Extensive understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles.
  • Proven people management, relationship building, and leadership skills.
  • Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills.

Compensation Package:

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $120,000-$180,000 depending on experience. This figure is based on national averages for senior management positions in the accounting industry.
