Job Description

As a Water and Sewer Project Director at Fowler Construction Company Limited, you will be responsible for overseeing underground projects from start to finish. Your primary duties will include providing direction and guidance to supervisors, technical staff, subcontractors, and laborers to ensure projects are safe and productive.

You will also be responsible for cost controls, productivity, financial reporting, resolution of contractual issues, subcontractor and supplier relations, communication, and payment for work completed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and schedule various construction projects in accordance with OHSA and project requirements.
  • Evaluate and document safety initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Optimize project profitability through effective cost management and crew productivity.
  • Meet and manage project deadlines and requirements.
  • Liaise and negotiate with onsite inspectors, owners' representatives, enforcement offices, and the public.
  • Lead the project team to ensure all work is in accordance with contract specifications, drawings, and budget.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager overseeing underground, water, and sewer projects.
  • A Bachelor of Engineering Degree (considered an asset).
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including multitasking, prioritization, and meeting competing deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation, relationship building, conflict resolution, and leadership abilities.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Site Docs.

Work Conditions
