Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair
  • Install, align, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
  • Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery
  • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
