We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth in our Windsor store.
Key Responsibilities- Sales and Profit Growth: Drive profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management, and sales forecasts. Analyze sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to identify and respond to market changes while controlling expenditures.
- Operational Excellence: Create operational plans, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and provide clear direction to managers and associates. Ensure optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, and store standards within company policies and guidelines.
- Asset Protection and Safety: Execute and monitor asset protection and safety controls, maintain quality assurance standards, and oversee safety and operational reviews. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and established safety, security, sales, financial, and record-keeping procedures and practices.
- Customer Service: Serve customers as an ambassador for the store by greeting customers, seeking their feedback, and ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved within company guidelines to create a positive shopping experience.
- Community Engagement: Support store initiatives to serve the community by participating in and supporting community events and developing relationships with key community groups.
- Leadership and Development: Lead associates by conducting regular store meetings, communicating operational direction and initiatives, driving engagement, recognizing and rewarding accomplishments, and providing opportunities for professional growth.
- Accountability and Relationships: Demonstrate company values by holding associates accountable through timely, honest, specific, and respectful performance feedback and corrective action. Build and manage relationships with supporting functions within the store and district.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of retail management experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in business or a related field and 3-5 years of retail management experience.
