Job Title: Physician, Family

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician to join our team at Medicentres. As a Family Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in family medicine, with a focus on preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment of various medical conditions. You will work in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse patient population, and providing exceptional care in a team-based setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
  • Advise patients on health care
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities
  • Be the patient advocate
  • Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care
  • Provide acute care management
  • Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
Requirements:
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
