About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at FIRSTCARE FINANCIAL SERVICES LTD. as a Bookkeeping Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Depreciation and Asset Management: Calculate depreciation and manage fixed assets, including equipment and property.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including trial balances and reconciliations.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, including income tax and sales tax.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
