Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team at ACAI. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Installation and Maintenance: Perform rack-up, programming, verification, and inspection of fire alarm systems, access control, and intercom systems, as well as other fire protection equipment.
  • Inspections and Service: Conduct inspections and service on Mircom and non-Mircom products.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Complete and return inspection reports in a timely manner.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to customers as needed.
  • Training and Education: Provide operational training to end-users.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure our customers and end-users have a positive experience working with ACAI.
  • Technical Knowledge: Read and understand engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals.
Requirements
  • Experience: Technicians shall have 3-5 years of experience as a Service Technician within the Fire Alarm industry.
  • Education: Electronics diploma or equivalent from an accredited college/university or documented and demonstrated trade qualification.
  • Registration: Technicians shall have Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Registration or comparable qualification.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 70lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding.
  • License: Possess a valid and clean motor vehicle license (G License).
  • Assets: Knowledge of Mircom systems is an asset. Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel is an asset.
