At Maple Leaf Construction Ltd., we are seeking a skilled professional to contribute to project estimating and management. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating and managing various projects from bid to completion.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Project estimation – identifying bid opportunities, analyzing plans & proposals, assessing risks/opportunity, defining scope of work, soliciting subcontractor and supplier bids, and preparing bid submittals
  • Project management – leadership of project safety & employees, coordination of resources, risk management, CPM schedule, monitoring subcontractor and supplier performance
  • Comprehensive project budget tracking and analysis
  • Maintaining good client relationships and cultivating new business opportunities
  • Managing client expectations and negotiating toward successful outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred
  • 5+ years' of related work experience
  • Gold Seal Certification is an asset
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high production environment
  • Experience in field operations management and estimating from a contractor's perspective
  • Strong teamwork, self-motivation, leadership, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, along with tact and professionalism
  • Ability to ensure commitment to project delivery, client service, and quality management within budget
