Chinook School Division No. 211 is seeking applications for casual bus drivers in the Swift Current area. As a casual bus driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a bus safely and efficiently to transport students to and from school
- Ensure the bus is clean and well-maintained
- Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:
- Clean driver's abstract
- Ability to deal tactfully and cooperatively with the public, students, and staff
- Good physical condition
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation
- Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion
- Demonstrates alignment with Chinook School Division's values

Casual employees are contacted to work on an "as-needed" basis. Working casually allows you the flexibility to choose which shifts you accept. Casual employees are important members of our Chinook team and receive competitive wages as well as pension benefits. Some training opportunities may be available to ensure our casual employees are equipped with the skills they will need to work in various roles throughout the division.

- Attach a signed SGI Driver Abstract Authorization to your application
Candidates who are successfully shortlisted will be contacted for an interview. Following a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to obtain their "S" Endorsement.
S" Endorsement Process:
- Pick up a driver handbook from your local SGI office or the transportation department
- Submit a Bus Driver Medical to SGI
- Once the medical is completed and approved, book your written exam with SGI
- Contact Chinook's Driver Assessor to make arrangements for Chinook Driver Training
- Book your road test with SGI
- Upon successful completion, submit a copy of your "S" Endorsement certification to Human Resources
