Dari Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster, as well as curing freshly plastered surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a smooth surface
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure durability
  • Filling joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
  • Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
  • Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings, and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs

Requirements:

  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in drywall installation and finishing
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees
  • Ability to provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 30 to 40 hours of work per week
