Job Title: Railcar Repair Technician/Welder

Procor Limited is seeking a skilled Railcar Repair Technician/Welder to join our team at our repair facility in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on railcars, including cutting and welding on the rail body, tank and/or hopper, and other car components. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on railcars, including cutting and welding on the rail body, tank and/or hopper, and other car components
  • Inspect and test railcars to ensure they are safe and meet regulatory standards
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for completion of rail car repairs
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Strong mechanical background with competent and safe use of hand tools and power equipment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand written work orders, material safety data sheets, and other paper and computer work
  • Prior railcar repair experience or similar, and knowledge of AAR standards an asset
  • Ability to work in an environment with continuous exposure to outdoor weather conditions with dust, fumes, and noise
