Job Summary:

TV2 Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team. As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing database systems that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Design and develop database systems that meet the needs of our clients, including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing for a highly available system.
  • System Maintenance: Ensure the operating efficiency of existing application systems and maintain records for the documentation of systems development and revisions.
  • Analysis and Planning: Conduct analyses of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with building secure, scalable, performant, and highly available database applications, as well as familiarity and hands-on experience with profiling, code efficiency, and building software via continuous integration and delivery pipeline.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Communicate well with remote teams, adapt rapidly, and learn fast, and have sound judgment to understand complex business use cases, design appropriate solutions, and develop the underlying implementation.

Requirements:

  • Clearance: Government of Canada, Secret level clearance is required.
  • Technical Skills: Oracle 11g and 19c, PL/SQL, ANSI SQL, Toad.
  • Soft Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously with aggressive timelines, ability to work with change/ambiguity in a competitive environment where priorities change frequently, ability to efficiently work in a hybrid environment – 3 days on-site, 2 days remote.
  • Experience: Proven problem-solving ability with complex, technical, and abstract concepts, previous experience in the telecommunication industry and Government of Canada contracts are an asset.

  • Job Type: Temporary Contractor.
  • Hourly Contract Rate: TBD depending on experience.
  • Contract Length: 12 months with the possibility of extension.
