Job Description

We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Circle K/Shell. This is a permanent position, requiring the individual to work 30-40 hours per week.

  • The ideal candidate will have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in retail sales or customer service.
Responsibilities
  1. Operate a cash register, processing money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments with accuracy and efficiency.
  2. Scan items for sale, ensuring accurate pricing and quantity.
  3. Tabulate total payment for goods or services, providing clear explanations to customers as needed.
  4. Receive payment for goods or services, handling cash, cheques, and credit/debit cards professionally.
  5. Calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales, identifying any discrepancies.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized store environment by stocking shelves and cleaning the counter area.
  7. Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional customer service and addressing their queries and concerns.
  8. Wrap or place merchandise in bags, ensuring items are properly secured for transportation.
  9. Participate in promotional activities, promoting products and services to drive sales and customer engagement.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in retail sales or customer service preferred.
  • Ability to work 30-40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
