Job Description

HUNER LOGISTICS LTD. is seeking a professional Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team.

About the Job
  • This permanent position requires the driver to work varied hours, with an estimated 43.28 to 60 hours per week.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent oral communication skills and be able to operate manual transmission vehicles.
Responsibilities
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Loading and unloading goods from various locations, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Maintain the condition of the vehicle, performing regular inspections and overseeing equipment maintenance.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, handling dangerous goods with care.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption accurately.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement and a valid Class 1 or A Driver's License are mandatory.
  • Candidates must possess a valid passport and be willing to undergo a criminal record check, driver's validity license check, and driving record check (abstract).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential.
  • Prior experience in long-haul trucking or related fields is an asset, but on-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate.
