Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for confidently leading a team through the completion of a bid process under pressure while building strong relationships with sub-trades.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble accurate, timely and well-organized estimates, including hard-bid, construction management and design-build.
- Organize sub-contractor quotes when the bid is successful, re-writing binders and assisting the buy-out process.
- Monitor the success of a project, noting potential challenges and building relationships with sub-trades for future opportunities.
- Distribute sub-trade quotes to personnel, flagging areas of concern and coordinating with management to accommodate risk within the bid price.
- Maintain databases, including labour rates, material pricing and project costs, for future reference.
- You have a construction related degree/diploma and 5 to 7 years of estimating experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- You have a working knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts.
- You have the ability to work effectively and accurately in time sensitive situations within a team.
